Happy almost springtime...at least here in the Midwest. Ultimate Chicago Sandblast is getting ready to celebrate its 17th edition the summer weekend of July 14-16 and we want YOU to join us!

Sandblast is a co-ed beach ultimate disc weekend that offers THREE divisions to maximize the playing (and partying) experience for all. We have an Elite Division for our most competitive teams, Spirit of the Game Division for our largest partiers (in costume), and Game Division for the best or both worlds.

Our player participants enjoy two days of play and two nights of parties with a Friday night AUDL game between the Chicago Wildfire and Madison Radicals and a HUGE Saturday night tournament with three hours of refreshments including Lagunitas Brewing Company. We offer breakfast of bagels and fruit, lunch both days (Potbelly in recent years) and other beverages and snacks from our generous sponsors ALL INCLUDED. Recent partners have included Monster Energy, BAI, Vita Coco and KIND Snacks.

We are very proud of the quality and reputation we have built and strive to raise the bar every summer. Thank you for checking your schedules and with your teams as we hope you will join us on the beach!

Best beach ultimate wishes, Adam/Twirly

I think both are equally physically demanding in a team play. However, on the posession part of individual player, soccer is more exhausting then frisbee and frisbee claims that some soccer players are relaxed when the ball is not in their possession. This should have been the case of the determination of the team and strategy that have been implemented. But the sports that beat both strength in my opinion is futsal. It is a very exhausting game.

Hi This is Amit from India. I was involved in a bad accident with in a bike about four month ago.My MRI results say that I have PCL Tear in left knee. With the help of

rehabilitation exercises now I can walk slowly without knee instability. But I still get pain when the knee is under stress, ie, walking up and down stairs, walking

down hill. Not much confidence in knee.
Although I have met some of the patient with ACL injury. they said like after the operation , they are perfectly fine. Unfortunately I could not met any PCL injured

person. Or may be that is a rare injury....

I have consulted many doctors . Some doc says it will be ok by the time , but some says this-PCL is very important to operate. So I am confused what to do ..? Also I

have read that PCL Treatment is controversial as there are many methods, each with their own benefits.

I am wondering if anyone of you can suggest how and what treatment is best for PCL ligament. Any Related information will be really helpful.

Needed your prompt Reply.

-Amit

We wanted to officially introduce ourselves to the rec.sport disc!

Introducing the Layout Ultimate Gloves. www.LayoutUltimate.com

Layout Ultimate is a brand new Ultimate Frisbee Apparel Company launching its first product, the Layout Ultimate Glove!
The Layout Glove was designed to provide a level of grip not yet seen in Ultimate. Our custom grip allows for increased rotation of the disc, which enhances accuracy, speed, and distance.

Some highlights about the glove:
-All-weather grip offers balanced control for handling or catching: Rain, shine, snow or sleet
-Flick-grip technology (grip on inside of middle finger) will give you complete control over your flicks, providing superior spin for increased distance and sharpened accuracy
-Light-weight material with breathable back keeps your hands cool
-Towelled thumb to wipe sweat
-Synthetic leather palm for durability and to soften sting of bullet-passes
-Retains grip over constant use
-Durable rip resistant synthetic leather palm
-Developed with some great players from the AUDL
-Glove sizing that fits men, women and youth

Our passion for Ultimate is the major driver behind this product. My love for playing ultimate has been hindered by my injuries (torn ACL, another torn ACL awaiting repair) but I have been lucky enough to be running Layout Ultimate to stay involved in this great community.

Use the discount code "google" to save 20% off your order at www.LayoutUltimate.com

The Layout Ultimate Gloves will provide the ultimate grip for your game!

Thanks for looking, let us know if there are any questions.

It's that spooky time of year when the leaves change color and people dress their pets in unfortunate outfits, so why not revolt against the dying of the days by getting out in the sun while there's still time. Makeup for the indulgences of the evening to come, be it liquor, candy, or both, by running around for a few hours with some of your newest and oldest friends. It's a day of tricks and treat, so why not treat yourself to an excellent afternoon of ultimate.

http://discny.usetopscore.com/e/halloween-hat-2015

The details:

When: Oct. 31st, 9am-3pm. (Enough time for you to swap your game face for your scary face)

Where: Van Cortland Park, Cricket fields. Grass fields (so bring cleats)

What: 3 games of mixed fun times. Format/ratio to be determined by number of entrants.

Cost: $15. ($10 for baby ghouls 22 and under)

Why: Because you'll feel better about that third Snickers bars at 2am. And because it will be super fun!

Here's an idea....
an AUDL preseason or offseason tournament.
perhaps atlanta, raleigh, charlotte, dc and philly.....maybe nashville or jacksonville....getting together to play 3 games a day....two days.

We could recruit AUDL refs to make the trip here to Wilmington also.....
it'd be a TEAM bonding and practice experience...
AND it'd be a referee training camp.

thoughts?
comments?

So far i've got one Training Camp scheduled this fall.....
Jason Weddle and I are heading to High Point Univ Oct 3 & 4 to run practices with the 50-ish strong players that have come out for HPU's team this fall.
We're heading up there on invitation from their coach Brian Gane.
We'll be running them thru practice Sat and Sun 8-11 and 1-4.
Skills and drills, jukes and fakes, throws and cuts, plays and more....

I'm TRYING to work out dates to run a camp for ONE OF the universities that i graduated from....East Carolina, home of the IRATES. They wanted to have camp the weekend of my summer league tournament! ...as if i'd miss a summer league tournament for the first time since 1990?!?!?!?!?! ha.
Hopefully we'll get a date set.

If your team is interested in attending Fall Training Camp with coach Mike Gerics, contact me directly!

The camp fee......IS FREE.

Thank god that i'm not allowed on reddit because i would certainly be answering questions like....
how to shake my defender when cutting....
i would be posting my own personal CALLAHAN NOMINEE video....
i would have written a killer write up about the Wilmington NC summer league...
i'd be posting about me and jason weddle getting ready to go to High Point Univ to run a fall training camp for their team of nearly 50 kids that are out this fall season....
i probably would have posted something to the mlu commissioner quitting...
i'd probably be trying to post the dates of the wilmington 8s tournaments that we're organizing here in town....
i'd probably be posting about an AUDL rule COLLEGE TOURNAMENT and ref training event that i'd like to be running here in town....
hell...i'd probably be announcing my interest in hosting AUDL teams here in Wilmington for an offseason/preseason tournament and ref training camp....

thank goodness for those super critical twerp moderator douche bags running that site like the nazi fascist cool guys that they are....

Registration is now open for the co-ed Vegas tournament. This year we're bringing Lucky 7's all the way back to its roots by putting it on Halloween weekend, like it used to be.

Check out the website at http://luckysevensultimate.com/ to register your team. Also, check out the Hotel deal we have at the Westgate Hotel (formerly the Las Vegas Hilton.) It's a little off the strip, but there's a monorail to take you right there.

Because it's Halloween, costumes are not required, but they are highly recommended.

"you guys accused me of hate speech. please send me the reddit post with that evidence"

"you accused me of hate speech. what is hate speech and which of my posts displayed it?"

"first you accused me of hate speech, then of homophobic slurs, then excessive abusive language, then name calling, then sexism and racism. But i can't find any of those things in my notes. please send me the evidence"

"have you guys sent me the evidence of the accusations against me yet?"

"hey mods, you accused me of hate speech. i've searched my posting history for the last month, but can't find any evidence of that"

"what's hate speech? can you please send me the note where i displayed "hate speech". thank you.

"you accuse me of abusive language and name calling....but it was your mod bill mill who wrote calling me bullshit. he cursed and name called ME first. that's pretty unprofessional for a mod, right?"

"bill mill SENT ME a homophobic slur when he wrote, ""enjoy your ban. hugs and kisses"". is he being investigated for his homophobic slur?"

"moderator bill mill cursed at me and sent a homophobic slur. is he being investigated?"

"the first thing you accused me of was "hate speech", but i can't find anything remotely like that in my posting history. will you please send me that evidence"

"have you guys sent me the evidence of the accusations against me yet?"

"is it "hate speech" to call you fascist moderators if you're acting like fascist moderators?"

"you guys accused me of homophobic slurs, but i can't find anything like that in my posting history. Bill Mill wrote giving me "hugs and kisses" and i used that quote back to you. was it ok for him but not for me?"

"you guys accused me of "hate speech", sexism, racism, overly abusive language and name calling...but you haven't shown me evidence of that despite my repeated requests. can you please hustle up and send me that evidence please"

"i can't find any evidence of the "hate speech" you've accused me of in my posting history. please send me the posts on reddit ultimate that you're talking about.

"bill mill(llimllib) wrote and cursed me calling me "bullshit" and offering me "hugs and kisses". is he being banned too? it sure is unprofessional for a moderator to be sending out notes like that"

"you moderators seem a bit untrustworthy and unprofessional...sending notes to community members cursing them and including homophobic slurs. is bill mill being investigated for that?"

"i still haven't received any evidence of my posting history containing hate speech, homophobic slurs, name calling or excessive foul language. you've banned me for it...but i can't FIND IT anywhere."

Hi there,

Due to injuries, my 2-2 beer bracket Wildwood team is down to only two healthy ladies and one more half-injured lady! We'd love another woman or two and have hotel space available just a block from the tournament hotel.

Our team (Beach, Please!) is comprised of a few 20- and 30-somethings and one 40-something and we'll be laying it out on the beach and thoroughly enjoying ourselves off of it.

If you're interested, shoot me a google mail at my first initial and last name (no spaces or punctuation). Thanks!

Hey there!!!

Our 15th Cal-States was Huber fun. Hue""" .

Everyone on Journeymen was chill with skill and we beat a top 50 team for the second year in a row. Journeymen 12- Oaks 8 finishing them with a 9-3 run. The J-men have at least two more Sanctioned tourneys coming up. Revolutions San Francisco on 7-18/19 and Sections (-location TBA-) on 8-29/30.

Journeymen 2015 is a very special squad and definitely has the core and potential to perform even better. If we can get together 1 or 2 times in the up coming weekends we can become more cohesive and consistent. Journeymen Saturfday Pick Up, a possible scrimmage and or an actual team practice are all scheduled to happen before the next tourney.

The first team building possibility will be on our home field this Saturfday 6-27 at 10:27 am. This will be either a pick up/practice or a scrimmage. TBD This Ulty Fiesta is open to everyone that was on the roster at Cal-States plus core and try out players.

If you would like to tryout for Journeymen Mens Club please confirm ASAP to attend this Saturfday 6-27 at 10:27 am. Journeymen tryouts are also open to women that are amped and able to play "Bomb Ass' Ulty with the boys.

When critical mass is reached an event roster and field directions will be sent. Confirmations are great fully received and only take 2 seconds or less to send. You may also confirm to 408-833-4347 which may be a necessary evolution.

Looking forward to your speedy reply.

Announcing the summer 2015 Hingham Invitational Mixed Ultimate Tournament!
The Hingham Invite will take place on July 25/26, on the plush grass fields of Hingham High School (Hingham, MA) and will feature 10 to 16 mixed teams (4/3 or 5/2) in a traditionally fun and competitive tournament. This tournament has roots that go back to 1988, and a pedigree marking some of the best and spirited ultimate around.
Things to know about the tournament: All Proceeds go to the Special Olympics ($400 U.S. Dollar Bid). Your contribution covers two days of field food, a Saturday Night party/get together and Sunday Morning Breakfast. A two point cross gender huck rule is in place, meaning any male/female end zone connection from over half field is worth two points. Tournament winner receives the hand crafted, highly coveted, Hingham Invitational Champions Cup.
The fields are locked down, so spread the word of the tournament. If you are interested, email back to hinghaminviet at gmail.com and you will be added to the mailing list for further information regarding details for payment, the party, breakfast, and other necessaries. Please alert anyone you think may be interested!
Looking forward to July!
