while raking the yard, you don't put the rake back and then pull the leaves/pine straw forward in a curved, arcing path.
you throw the rake back...and slide the rake in a straight line forward.

apply that to your back hand throwing motion....and you'll find that the straight line path vs a curved arching path of the disc will improve the distance of your back hand huck.

reach as far as you can with the rake, rotating your shoulders, lead with the elbow as you pull the rake forward....pull the rake horizontal to line made by your toes.

if you pull or throw hucks with a curved forward motion, having to arc the disc AROUND your body, you're not getting the distance with ease that you could be.

you pull a rake and you pull a lawn mower string in a straight line path.....not in a curved arcing path.

if you want some training on your pull...consider wuff camp...or stopping by to rake my yard.
