Now that almost every team in the country weather it be club or college has access to a video camera and a youtube account we have seen countless highlight videos. If we took the Top Ten of all time what plays would make the list?
I won't list out Ten but the two that always stand out for me are Andrew Flemmings catch at worlds a couple years back and Josh Zippersteins (sorry if i butchered the names) catch at nationals and I would give the nod to Zippersteins as being the better of the two because of the massive layout by the defender as well.
Am I missing Ten plays that would push these two off the list? Is there a hidden gem out there that not many people have seen?
Let the debate begin

There is an absolutely disgusting layout catch on a blading hammer by bright-orange-hat guy on Rhino from a couple years ago. That'd make my "Top 10 of all time"

there was a dude on Jam around 2005 (jeff eastham-anderson?) who made a ridiculous greatest on the sideline, making a perfect pass up the line if I recall correctly. anyone got video? That was the one of the most athletic plays I've seen in ultimate.

Is this the one? Kevin Cissna to Ron Kubalanza - on double game
point no less.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07v5ShLgJJs
Cissna actually caught this in bounds (his foot was down in bounds) and threw it as he ran out of bounds. So, it's something, but I wouldn't call it a greatest. Most of us could throw the disc while running out of bounds with it but more often we choose not to.

I like these criteria as a filter, but for the purpose of scrutiny, it's also important to add "was caught on camera."
Based on these, I would not include Brodie's no-look huck (or any stationary throw). Flashy, impressive, etc., but just not in the same league as catches/greatests.
I'll add Tim Gaulton's greatest from Wildwood 2010 into the mix:

What you can't see all that well from this angle is that he jumps cleanly right over a girl sitting on the sideline.

So, it's a travel, No, since he can't reasonably be said to have changed momentum.
But it's not the 'stupidest' which is when you greatest when you didn't have to, and then injure yourself on the landing. The jury is out as to whether or not it is necessary for it to be incomplete to constitute 'stupidest'.

Provided he doesn't change direction or speed up and throws before his third ground contact after catching it's not a travel. There is no requirement to slow down, you can throw on the run if you follow the above guidelines.
As for the 'stupidest', I think it's gotta be incomplete. If it's complete you haven't hurt your team, just taken a moron off the field....

If you are legally throwing before 3rd ground contact, does the most recent ground contact have to be in bounds?

Love that Nord catch. Spots the disc, realizes he has to book it full speed to have a shot at it, finds the disc after it passes directly over his head, and picks it up inches from the ground. Incredible.

Mike,
You realize everything you say is a reflection of the UOA right? Do you not remember several past posts from participants (including parents who are likely footing part of the teams entry fee by financially supporting their kid in college) indicating they wouldn't attend your tournaments in part due to your posting on here and treatment of others? Just seems like a bad business model to bash others on a public forum. If you're trying to create a tournament series that is looked at in high regard it should probably start with introspection of self, so that you give off that appearance too. In lehman's terms, knock off your jackassery on these forums because it's detrimental to business.

Mike Gerics created and runs the Ultimate Observers Association...but he doesn't actually represent the UOA in public forums.

Jeremy Mcnamara.....another ultimate observers association apologist who happens to think spreading mis-information is a honorable & productive thing to do.
( I brought more funds and awareness to Ultimate Peace while pawning dobyns on a public forum....by refusing to bow to his aggro zealot wishes.)

You are the public face of the UOA and you make official UOA announcements using this account. Like it or not, all your posts reflect on the UOA.
I'm certain your attendance numbers are dwindling because there is a large and growing number of people who don't want to be associated with you. They may not be expressing their opinion on RSD, but they are expressing it with their wallets.
One day you're going to figure that out and realize the dummy was you this whole time.
