Whats with the Google Ads? Is this site being run as a for profit venture now?

Hi Ted,

I emailed everyone that donated to the site with a heads up about the ads and forgot to include the moderators, I meant to. Sorry about that. The gist of the message is included below.

The initial reaction to the site being up and asking for donations was great and kept the site running ad-free until now. Unfortunately the donations have slowed down recently and I've been supporting the site out of my pocket for a while. I've decided to try out adding advertisements to the site and see if this is a viable long-term strategy to keep things up and running.

I'm currently planning on any money the site earns to be re-invested back into improving the site. I just want this site to support itself and I think that looking forward adding advertisements is the best way to do that.
