How is the winter treating you? Here is something to warm you up...

To celebrate the 11th annual Ultimate Chicago Sandblast beach frisbee
tournament tentatively scheduled for Friday, July 15th to Sunday, July
17th, we are opening the waiting list based on the potential of
expanding from 48 teams to an unprecedented 64!!

"Sandblast is one of my favorite tournaments. Just because of the
venue, the organization, the two divisions, the players, the spirit,
the grandness of the whole event. Everything. Excellent tournament."

Sandblast is a co-ed beach ultimate frisbee tournament that has been
welcoming more than 800 player participants from across the United
States and into Canada in the summer of 2010. Our event features two
divisions, a 16-team Game Division for more competitive "spirits" and
a 32-team Spirit Division for those focused on costumes, cheers and
other shenanigans. Players come to enjoy two days of playing and
three nights of partying (Thursday pre-event beer pong) and I welcome
testimonials from past attendees.

"Being on the beach set it in a class of its own. Also, all the
sponsors and the fact that there is a spirit division make it a unique
tournament. All around, it is an amazing event that more people
should come by and check out."

In recent summers, the event has been sponsored by Chipotle Mexican
Grill with burritos, Coca-Cola with free VitaminWater and Powerade and
other partners to maximize your playing and partying experience. In
past years, the registration fee has been $450 per team of up to 15
players and $30 each above that number with past feedback speaking to
the incredible value that Sandblast provides.

"This continues to be the best beach tournament I've ever played. The
field space is great. Good range of competition. Great freebies.
Good music. Good party."

Thanks for checking your summer schedules as we have intentionally
scheduled away from Potlatch and Masters and hope to see you in July.
If you are interested in being placed on the waiting list
(recommended) or have any questions, please email Adam@UPChicago.com.

"It is well run and organized. The spirit division hilarity makes it
one of the best tournaments I go to. Having the sponsors there with
the vitamin/smart water is great. The chipotle is also nice, because
you don't have to worry about bringing food for later in the day."

FOR RETURNING TEAMS, you will still first right of refusal and I will
be reaching out in early-to-mid-February and you will have until the
end of March to confirm 100% with your payment.

Best ultimate wishes from snowy Chicago!
