I'm a fan of the newly categorized news. I found the old method of the 'press releases' cumbersome, with interesting items buried by uninteresting items on the home page. I hope they publish updates to the news often, I don't see why they wouldn't. That will likely be my first stop on the home page.

I also think it's interesting that they're asking for 10-12 moderators for the message board. I think that will be an interesting experiment.

Ah, that's a little better. The drop down menus could use some work
though. For example, the message boards are under multimedia? Also,
the way all the drop down menus are left-justified is a little weird,
if you hover over "membership" on the right, you have to go back to
the far left to get the links.

I think USA Ultimate is a step in the right direction, getting more in
line with other sports. USA Ultimate is a little more intuitive.
Curious what this means for Canadian participation -- North American
championships?
I'm mixed on the website -- maybe I had unrealistic expectations since
the old one was such a horror show. Anything is an improvement,
really, although this does look kind of like the old one with a new
skin. I haven't really had the time to check it out, but like the
media feeds, the events calendar (although it should link to the
league, or organization running it, or event, or something). Tested
the much-needed search and had mixed results -- found some things,
couldn't find others. Multimedia section is good, much needed for PR
purposes and will only get better as it's fleshed out. Legibility is
still an issue -- a lot of it is still those gigantic blocks of text
that are such a pain to wade through. I'm assuming a lot of this will
get ironed out in the next few days, but they had to go ahead and
throw it up because it was running late.
Have to say, I was a little shocked to see myself quoted on the home
page ...

under the settings for the message board, it looks like they're attempting to connect the message board to facebook? (it's not working for me)

one thing that stuck me as odd on the new website....the frequent use of the term "frisbee." I thought that was a trademarked term that whamo didn't particular like people using. Did something change? Many of the "News" items use the term "Ultimate Frisbee". Figured they would just use "Ultimate." Certianly the average joe on the street would recognize ultimate frisbee more than just referring to ultimate, but again, I though trademark issues prevented that.

That's not true, Wham-O is quite happy that the UPA uses the word
Frisbee.

It was the UPA that decided a few years back to distance themselves
from the word Frisbee to try to distance themselves from the hippy
connotation.

I guess it never occurred to them to try to incorporate penalties
first.

I can't find any of the non-sanctioned upcoming tournaments. Where's

This is working fine for me. I really hope they disable signatures
though. They clutter up the page and you don't need to see people's
attempts at witty quotes and inside jokes with 10 smilies every time
people post.
