And....Capitals over Riot? Putting a possible Riot v Fury in the
semis.

Duke, what is the world on strength bids? My head started to hurt when
I tried to think about it.

Open strength bid info:

Central, Mid-Atlantic, Southwest are out of the running.
South has one locked up.

That leaves NE and NW:
1) If Jam wins their prequarters game, NW gets it.
2) If they lose and GOAT wins their prequarters game, Jam plays Bodhi
for the strength bid.
3) If they lose and GOAT loses their prequarters game, Jam plays
Bodhi, which is for the strength bid if GOAT beats Madison. On the
other hand, if Bodhi wins and Madison wins, then GOAT plays Jam for
the strength bid in the 11th place game.

Still a chance Beyondors will play DoG in the finals... but it's a
long shot.

South does not have one locked up. If NW3 finishes ahead of SO2, NW
gets both strengths according to 1.b.iii:

"If a Region has exactly 3 teams in attendance at Nationals and all 3
place above the 2nd place finishing teams from all the other Regions,
then that Region wins both strength wildcards."

anyone know what happened with the Bravo GOAT game? GOAT was up 13-10
and ended up losing 14-16 to Bravo...how does that happen

Straight up for the first three passes.
Force forehand.
Don't get beat to the open side.

?

It's not a complicated game...

I like the time when, who, the amp lady, on offense, ripped the disc
down w/ an axis guy hanging on to it, pulls it away from the axis guy
(who acknowledges that she had it first), then spikes it. Her catch
just shy of the endzone (Axis player on sideline points this out).
Third parties on far sideline all say she was not in the EZ. Convinced
that she scored, she somehow talks the people on the field into having
the disc on the goal line. (not relevant to the final outcome as Axis
wins).

I'm not saying the catch wasn't great. It was. But the resolution was
horrible. If you are sure you were in, it's a goal. If you aren't, it
should definitely NOT be YOUR disc on the EZ line. The classy thing is
to find a person w/ good perspective & get the right answer. It isn't
to pretend that the rule doesn't exist. Chris Webber couldn't pretend.
He has to live with it still.

Note: I wasn't watching feet. Nor do I know the content of the
discussion that occurred. There seemed to be consensus off the field
that she wasn't in. There clearly wasn't consensus on the field that
she was in, per the give her the disc at the goal line.

well then wouldn't SOTG decide that if it was unclear whether she was
in or out, and a discussion ensued with the presumption that she
*could* have, in fact, been in or *could* have been out, then why
should it not "go back to thrower" (in this case, spiker)

correct?

Re-do's? Are the fields lined? Was her feet in or out? What a sham.

but it seems that the only person/people it was unclear to was the
person/people that it would afversly effect. This is why sotg IS a
crock of shit. And c'mon.......do you really call that spirit????
one team being stubborn a-holes while the other team has no real
recourse???? and dont mistake one team conceeding for the sake of
getting the game going as spirit........or being LESS of an asshole
than the other guy as spirited.....or honorable. You guyes standards
of what you call "spirited" is pretty fuckin weak

, and a discussion ensued with the presumption that she
> *could* have, in fact, been in or *could* have been out,

seems to me that all the b people with said "best perspective" didnt
presume that she could have been in IN THE LEAST. face it
lenardo.......THIS is your classic "its my call", sotg loophole bail
out call........and is exhibit A in why partial players CAN NOT be
trusted to simultainously act as impartial arbitrators.
------------------------------------------------------------ --

then why
> should it not "go back to thrower" (in this case, spiker)

because 1) she lost posession of the disc prior to scoring and 2) its
a slap in the face of sptg to allow bogus bailout calls like this to
take place.

word!!!! all this redo loophole crap is just too much like
christianities bullshit loophole where you can sin your whole life but
at the last minute pray for forgiveness and get your soul back, no
questions asked?.......only with ultimate there is no god(ref) that
can tell what the real intent of the situation was(actually there isnt
one in real life either)........but the rules are just a screwy, thats
for sure.
