Doesn't Frank regularly post that he is the best player ever? Why,
then, should he be the one to act incredulous when someone else does
it?

SHENANNIGANS!

Anyway, everyone knows it's only cool to hype someone else, not
yourself. Like Karl Doege will admit that Luke Gravy is the best
player of all time on rec.sport.lasertag, or that Kian McMarphan is
easily the most pious person on rec.sport.missionary.

In Jurassic Park, a Spielberg movie I think Michael Crichton made a
book adaptation of, there is an amusement park made of recreated
dinosaurs on an island. Throughout the course of the movie there are
3 different kinds of dinosaurs that try to eat the humans, using their
own special methods;
1. T-rex - He's big, he's noisy, but there's no mistake what he's
about. He'll come at you and eat ya, and he's good at it. Ate the
lawyer. Yeh!
2. That little dude that ate newman - Spits crap at you and acts loud
and flashy, but in truth really a little thing. Try's to go after the
weak and incapacitated.
3. Velociraptor - Tricky smart beasty, uses elaborate tactics like
distracting you with one raptor while another sneaks around and gets
you from behind.
What's the moral here? Well first of all if you're making a facility
full of blood-hungry monsters don't leave newman in a position where
he could, you know, let them all loose. Second of all... really,
samuel l jackson couldn't handle a couple little lizards? "Enough is
enough! I have had it with these mfing dinosaurs on this mfing
island!"
Oh right, so I was reading a thread on RSD about heckling and general
d-baggery at the florida sectionals. Player A is bitching about
player B talking shit. From there a bunch of random people come in
and everybody gets roundly slammed, but in the end player A who
started the whole thread comes out looking the worst.
Am I trying to say something here? Why am i asking me? ...now that
seems duplicitous... or is that schizophrenic? Ok, you want
something... uh, don't be feeding the newman-eater dinosaurs, no
matter how much fun it is to see them eat newman, we don't need to
encourage them running around spitting crap all over the place.

Meh. One good hubris deserves another, eh Frank? Dude, I'm not here
to debate who was the greatest ever. That's a silly debate in any
team sport and it's just as silly here. What brings me here today is
that, right or wrong, you're acting like a giant douche. Your awesome
manifestos are fun to piece through, but this is just normal frat boy,
brainless trash talk. We've already got a guy providing that, and if
there's one thing you can't do, it's out-Toad Toad.

All that said, if you really want to get your self-righteous,
schadenfreudelicious, pompous freak on, point your web browser in this
direction: http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/2008/09/23/110-frisbee-sport s/.
That ought to keep you "in stitches" for a good long while.

The rest of us can I suppose occupy ourselves by, I dunno, playing
ultimate?

The dinosaur you were looking for is dilophosaurus. While they were
small in the movie, they were actually twenty feet long in reality. In
fairness, Jackson was an anaconda away from a holy trinity of death by
Hollywood animals (Velociraptor - Jurassic Park, Great White Shark -
Deep Blue Sea).

Quite right. And where did Frank get those transcipts of my usual
reactions to his posts, anyway?

Whatever this whole thing is about, KD should be in the HoF
(yesterday). And so should "Tim," whenever his chance comes up.

Thanks for that dino-fact! A creationist might argue that both your
source and my source are fiction, so we're even there...

Another fun dino-fact (fiction?): In the movie, newman ran into the
dilophosaurus while trying to cross a stream... perhaps the
dilophosaurus was living under a bridge nearby? Hmmm.

I was a better player than bobus. That should count for something.
Probably makes me better than frank.

Pete- The sharks in Deep Blue Sea were genetically enhanced Mako
Sharks. Not really a glaring mistake since both sharks are of the
same family, Lamnidae.

So "player A" only comes out looking the worst because of random
people spitting crap? It was this crap that caused player A to look
bad, not player A's own words and actions? Interesting take, dsb.

Not a very well developed thought. The bit about the newman-eating
dinosaur should have been a separate graf, kind of screws the
context. Let me elaborate.

So, in florida, some crap was crapped. Then, at sectionals, some crap
was crapped back. After sectionals, crap was crapped about the
sectionals crapping. From there crap was crapped about the original
crapping. And from there on in there's crap crapped all over the
place. From here, it looks like a big steaming pile of crap (like the
triceratops "droppings" in JP!). I can't tell and don't care which of
the original craps were worse or were due or whatnot. But it is easy
to tell who's stuck in the middle of it. And the rest? Well they're
still rolling around in a pile of crap. And the dilophosaurus, well,
it's busy off spitting crap at some other stuff but as per usual
getting most of it on itself.

Now that is a fine parable on the human condition. Hope it clears
everything up.
