Not sure why Masters doesn't just switch DoG and Double Black...this
avoids regional rematches entirely.

Some regional matchups, especially when there are 3+ teams from a
region or only 2 pools, are unavoidable. That said, the placement
of the both teams from a 2 bid region into the same pool is very
unfortunate due to the implications on earning a strength bid for the
subsequent year.

I think all but one of the regional rematches occur within regions
that have more than two bids. The only exception I noticed was Ozone/
Showdown in pool A. I think the final women's seedings are
defensible; but I'm not sure that dropping Zeitgeist to 9 or bumping
Lady Condors to 8 would not have been a better solution given how
strength wildcards are determined.

Central Region - Mixed - CLX and OTP in the same pool. Central only
had 2 bids this year...

maybe cause DoG and Condor guys are sick of each other and don't want
to play each other for the millionth time ... and millionth and one if
they play each other in bracket play.

all seeding/strength bid squabbling aside ... A big thanks to UPA
scheduling monkeys for getting this out so soon. Once the schedules
come out the reality that our halloween vacation is just around the
corner starts to really sink in. Man, am I psyched !!!

Any predictions on which teams will have the coolest costumes in
downtown siesta key on saturday night?

The #1 seed has to be OZONE. any other teams in contention?
cheers and goodluck to all teams/observers/refs/officials/volunteers
and ofcourse the ultimate gods,

Two examples then. And based only on the results posted to the score
reporter it's unclear that there are any compelling arguments against
bumping OTP ahead of one of Axis, D'oh, or even both.

A quick note: I don't want to diss the effort and thought that has
gone into putting the seeds together. From what I can tell
(primarily looking at the score reporter) the seeds for all four
divisions look like they accurately reflect the results from this
season. While the nationals formats do a good job of determining the
champion in a seed-agnostic way, the allocation of strength bids for
next year can be dramatically impacted by the initial seeds especially
when all teams from a region find themselves in the same pool.

If you were arguing about the two lone bids from Central being seeded
at 8 and 9, you might be justified in making a strength bid complaint,
because there might be some "impact" felt.

But with only two bids (a 3 and a 7) and a region that historically
has had a weak 2nd and 3rd team (and when CLX/ACS is not around, weak
1st team), OTP should be happy being seeded as high as it is.

Further, in my reading of those pools, the E/G power pools are the
weaker of the two sets. My guess is that the F/H is more likely to
push 5 teams into quarters.

Overall, OTP is seeded favorably for being in the running for a
strength bid. This isn't the year to complain about that. More
favorably than I would have seeded the central.

But on the other hand, I haven't done as much work researching this
year as usual.

See women's seedings: Showdown 8, Ozone 9.
