And now they're taken down. I bet the Huddle and Cultimate had
something to do with this...

Sockeye destroys Pool A, none of those teams can hang with them.

Pool B is way rough, with every team working for games, save perhaps
PoNY Bravo (but with PoNY you never know what they're capable of...
see: Sockeye Invite, Labor Day)

Pool C goes Ironside, Jam, Bodhi, Condors

Pool D, Revolver and Ring switch spots, Machine possibly takes out
Truck Stop.

Damn, we're seeing a lot of unreleased press releases these days.
Wish I could have done that with some of the things I said over the
last 20 years or so.

Pool C, Bodhi goes 2-1. (maybe unrealistic but I'd like to see it
happen and say I called it haha)

Pool D is rough I think Chain will go 2-1, Bravo 3-0, PoNY 1-2, Sub-
Zero 0-3.

I think Goat and Doublewide will switch, and I think Sockeye will roll
this pool.

Revolver breaks seed over Ring of Fire rest of that pool goes to seed.

Sockeye wins over Bravo in finals again.

A Pool:
Sockeye
Goat
Doublewide
El Diablo

100% Sockeye: Goat takes second, double wide probably will not be able
to hang with the height.
El Diablo: welcome to nationals (upsets are awesome but unlikely)

B Pool:
Bravo
Sub Zero
Chain
Pony

This pool is great. Chain pulling off the huge upset. Guaranteed to be
a tiebreaker in this pool somewhere. Pony will get 1 win and it could
be against any of the teams.

C Pool:
Ironside
JAM
Condors
Bodhi

Ironside rolls. This is a race for second. Bodhi is young and for
somereason on everyones upset list. Not going to happen. Jam and
Condors will be exciting. Jam can be really great or old. I really
think Condors will pull off this win. Condors #2.

D Pool:
Ring of Fire
Revolver
Truck Stop
Machine
No comment

Nationals Finals prediction: Guaranteed a team from the East Coast vs
Sockeye!

Sockeye vs Chain in one semi
Bravo vs Ironside in the other

Sockeye vs Ironside in finals & I'm rooting for the boys from Boston.

assuming bravo and chain from pool b and ring and revolver from pool
d, pool f will be a barn burner.

Sure, but in pool E there will be Sockeye v. Ironside and Sockeye v.
Jam, two potential finals previews.

Predictions for what looks to be an amazing Nationals:

Pool A goes to seed.
Chain and Sub Zero switch spots in pool B.
Pool C goes to seed, with Ironside and Jam playing a great game.
Revolver switches with Ring and Machine switches with Truck in Pool D.

Power Pool E sees Sockeye continue to roll with wins over Ironside and
Jam. GOAT goes to prequarters.
Power Pool F sees Bravo and Chain finish on top. Ring's loss to
Revolver on Thursday ends up putting them in prequarters.

Condors squeak by Doublewide to come out of Pool G.
Sub Zero dominates Pool H.

Ring and Condors play a sick game in prequarters. I've got Ring
winning, possibly on universe point.
Sub Zero completes an undefeated Friday by eliminating GOAT.

Sockeye wins their quarterfinal big over Ring.
Chain beats Jam in a tight one.
Bravo has to work to knock of Sub Zero.
Ironside and Revolver play a classic, with Boston taking it.

Chain puts up double digits on Sockeye, but Seattle goes to finals.
Ironside plays yet another game for the ages and beats Bravo on
universe point.

Ironside, having played in 4 of the toughest, most memorable games in
recent Nationals history (Jam in pool play, Sockeye in power pools,
Revolver in quarters, Bravo in semis), doesn't have the legs to run
with the fish in the finals. Sockeye wins another title.

Things we'll learn at Nationals:
Boston ultimate is officially back.
The northwest remains the strongest region.
Teams like Bodhi, PoNY, and El Diablo have significant work to do if
they want to hang with the big boys.

Best of luck to everyone!

I would be willing to bet approximately %50 of my life savings that
Bodhi does not beat Jam. They might beat the Condors, but they are
essentially two experienced players commanding a squad of tall and/or
fast kids. They have potential, but they are not going to upset a
squad of very athletic veterans. Let us not forget that a stripped
Ironside beat a mostly full Bodhi at sectionals 15-2.

I think PoNY has more upset potential, but not in Pool B. Chain lost
a fluke game at regionals just like last year and will come out
swinging, just like last year. Zero and Bravo are both very solid
squads. PoNY has some good stuff, but not enough for that pool. I
could see them taking down Machine, Truck Stop, Condors, or even
Doublewide, none of which they will play first round.

my Semis Predictions:

Sockeye
Bravo
Chain
Ironside

Bravo
Ironside

Bravo

That's RIGHT, I said it, I don't think Sockeye is going to win! I
hope that Ironside wins it all, I know they can beat anyone there, but
can they beat EVERYONE?

Full Wrap-up style:

Pool A:

Sockeye 3-0, GOAT 2-1, Doublewide 1-2, El Diablo 0-3

Pool B:

Bravo 3-0, Sub Zero 1-2, Chain 2-1, PoNY 0-3

Pool C:

Ironside 3-0, Jam 2-1, Condors 1-2, Bodhi 0-3

Pool D:

Ring 3-0, Revolver 2-1, Truck 1-2, Machine 0-3

Which would give us, after re-seeding and power pool games:

Pool E:

Sockeye 3-0, Ironside, 2-1, Jam 0-3, GOAT 1-2

Pool F:

Bravo 3-0, Ring 1-2, Chain 1-2, Revolver 1-2

And I think Condors and Sub Zero come out of the bottom pools.
Meaning

Sub vs Jam in one pre-quarters and I'll say Ring vs. Condors in the
other one. Ring and Sub win.

Which gives:

Sockeye versus Sub, Chain vs GOAT, Bravo vs Ring, Ironside vs Revolver
in the best match of the quarters

Semis:

Sockeye vs GOAT, Bravo vs. Ironside

Finals:

Ironside over Sockeye
