Hello! I am Kevin "Frogger" Held, one of the captains of the coed club
team Midget Horse. I'm pleased to announce our first tryout date of
the year, and encourage EVERYONE to attend regardless of skill level
or experience.

When: Sunday, May 17th 2009
Time: 3 pm
Where: Highland Park, St. Paul MN
What you need: Cleats, water, a disc, a WHITE, and a DARK.

A little info about the team(s):

Midget Horse was founded in the Summer of 2008 by Matt "Smokey"
Sweeney, Kevin "Frogger" Held, and Amy "Giggletron" Suek. We founded
Midget Horse around the guiding principle that Ultimate is a game and
it's not something you should stress about. Success is not always
rooted in W's. Last year we went to: Twin Cities Coed Round Robin,
Cooler Classic, MUDI, Chicago Heavyweights, and Club Sections. This
year we're looking to return to these tournaments and visit a few
more, such as The Rock and Mad-Disc-On. Our reputation has spread as
one of the most fun clubs to play with and against in the region. The
following is the Midget Horse mission statement:

"The idea behind Midget Horse is that above all, Ultimate is a game.
It is,
inherently, meant to be fun. There's no need to get bent out of shape.
There's no need to scream at other players. While we WILL be a strong,
competitive, and hard working team, competition will never be at the
expense of our ideals and philosophies. We will preserve our character
all else. We seek not to be the "most spirited" team out there, we
seek to
be the absolute coolest team ever. Good players. Good natured. A
little odd.
You. Me. Us."

In 2009 we're looking forward to our Sophomore year with Rachel
Braband, Kevin Held, Joe Rodekuhr, and Karen Katz filling leadership
positions. Midget Horse will be a little more competition focused this
Summer in an attempt to recognize the massive potential within
ourselves and all of you potential little horses. Because we're
looking to build a more serious team out of Midget Horse this year,
we've decided to create another team focused on learning, development,
and partying.

Introducing Moo Cow. Moo Cow is our little barnyard friend and
relative, guided by the same philosophies and principles as Midget
Horse, this team will be for players who want a fun, low pressure,
introduction to Club Ultimate. Moo Cow IS a tournament squad and we're
looking to get them into every tournament Midget Horse goes to. Less
performance based than Midget Horse, Moo Cow players will be chosen by
potential, attitude, and partyability.

I hope to see LOTS of new and old faces! Spread the word if someone is
looking for somewhere to play this summer.

I, for the life of me, cannot figure out how to get the map off of
google maps. I suggest you go to
and put in the coordinates "44.91176,-93.160136" and find directions
from wherever you're coming from.
