Hi All,

A few years ago, there was talk of a few different options emerging, but wondering if any team managers have recommendations?

We currently manage everything through Google Groups and Google Docs, but hoping there is a much more refined process.

Some features I am looking for:

a) Contact details / personal information with ability to add field to include USAU #

b) Ability to send email / text message to team from website or smartphone app

c) Ability for team to reply all to team messages without having to go into app and creating new messages (ie simplicity)

d) Calender of events and attendance register

e) Ability to split players in system between whole squad including training members and actual team (ie early members on roster to be moved to non-default when messages just for the final team are being sent

f) Payment register / team cost tracker so we can track costs for season and how much people owe team

Any thoughts will be appreciated. I know its a lot of features to ask, so it might require a small fee to use for the season, but if the system is worthwhile, will happily use.

Already looked at Teamsnap, but unfortunately, their payment tracking system is annoying and limited to 30 players unless paying $100 for the year.

Hi,

However there is a new development in team management software that you may have to find out. There is a new cloud-based software that combines rostering and time tracking.

Employers can see their employees time on project, shift rotation details, login and logout time. It gives an employer more confidence that freelancers was actually working.

From my experience it is also a good tool to track and in order to improve work flow and team communication. It allows managing and sharing information about teams, projects, tasks, deadlines. It also allows anyone with an internet connection to enter time and tasks. Here's the link for your reference - http://www.replicon.com/olp/rostering-software.aspx

Thanks!

I've been using UltimateCentral for almost two years now and it's great. Streamlines payment and collects information in a way that's easy to read and access (with spreadsheet functionality).

They charge 2% (I think) of whatever you bring in as their fee but it's totally worth it. Charge the extra $1 per player to make your life easier. The scheduling and attendance functionality are really easy to use and if there ever is an issue the support team responds within an hour or two.

I would HIGHLY reccommend it.

Oh! It also sets up email lists for individual teams, captains, male/female players. It's got this great functionality where if you email "my-team.......@...ultimatecentral.com" (fill in with your league name) it'll pull info from the database and only email people rostered to the same team as you.

Simple, but extremely effective.

For team management I would recommend you to go ahead and give a try to the cloud based time tracking software from Replicon ( http://www.replicon.com/time-tracking-softwares.aspx ) which keeps track of the time and manage the same with good sort of keeping time tracked and manage the team with respect to the work aspects.
