obi wanna be.....

But G still has one of the best college pulls ever.
I posted this a couple of years ago:

"G's pull looks like a combination of a left handed slap shot with Earl
Anthony's
bowling leg kick. What makes his pull so good is not the distance, but the height. It goes 70-80
yards, 80
feet high and comes down at such a sharp angle players were scared to catch
it.
Still, without a doubt, the best pull I've ever seen in college ultimate.
I'm
not really sure it can be taught though..."

With the pull-rules that were adopted in the late 90's of having to play it
from the endzone landing spot, Mike's pull would be worth 2-3 points a game.
That's huge.

It can be taught! 2nd day of WUFF Camp.

Ask anyone that saw PSU/UPenn or PSU/GW at Metro East Regionals this
year. It can be taught.

Unfortunately a couple of fractured ribs kept it from being shown at
College Nationals.

Thanks Mike!

obi wanna be,
here's some more appreciation
~~~~~~~~
the setting: wuff camp 2003
MG teaches us the 'pull dance'.
I throw a couple of crappy pulls getting used to 'the dance'.
Once 'the dance' is mastered...I let a monster pull go.
I've heard rumors it was around 20 yards out the back of the endzone.
It was wind assisted. Yet 'the dance' works.
