USAU has stated that "seedings will be based on a combination of regular season and postseason performance". Unlike the women's division that nearly went to seed and made things nice, the Open division did not do the same.

Regular End of Season Finish:
1. Revolver
2. Machine
3. Johnny Bravo ----(lost to Doublewide 14-15)
4. Goat
5. Doublewide -----(beat Bravo 15-14)
6. Sockeye
7. PoNY ----------(lost to Ironside 13-14)
8. Ironside --------(beat PoNY 14-13)
9. Chain Lightning
10. Ring of Fire
11. High Five ------(lost to Madcow 11-15)
12. Florida United
13. Truck Stop
14. Sub Zero
15. Boost Mobile ---(lost early at Southwest Regionals)
16. Rhino ---------(lost to Furious George 11-15)
...
19. Condors ------(earned bid in Southwest Regionals)
23. Madcow-------(beat High Five 15-11)
31. Furious George-(beat Furious 15-11)

How should the seedings of this nasty mess be done?

Does the stipulation of higher finish at Regionals = higher seed at Nationals still apply?

Quickly and with minimal research:

1. Revolver
2. GOAT
3. Doublewide
4. Machine
5. Sockeye
6. Johnny Bravo
7. Ironside
8. Chain Lightning
9. Sub-Zero
10. Ring of Fire
11. PoNY
12. Truck Stop
13. Condors
14. Forida United
15. Furious George
16. Madcow

Furious = most dangerous 4 seed?

That would make the following pools:
A: Revolver/Chain Lightning/Truck Stop/Condors
B: Goat/Ironside/PoNY/Florida United
C: Doublewide/Bravo/Ring of Fire/Furious
D: Machine/Sockeye/SubZero/Madcow

This might help some people:

Some thoughts-
For the first seed I think the only two you can consider are Revolver and GOAT, and Revolver's US open win and regular season win are bigger than GOAT's Pro Finale win.

Although Machine finished higher in the regular season than everyone other than Revolver, their only tournaments that they attended with elite competition were Terminus and the Pro Finale where they finished 4th and 3rd respectively. Putting a little more weight on the Pro Finale since it was more recent I think it makes sense to put GOAT and Doublewide who finished 1-2 above Machine.

JB and Ironside both have head to heads over Sockeye and going on the regular season standings JB>Ironside.

PoNY, Chain and Ring work in that order based on head to head and the regular season standings so I just left them 8-10.

Sub has a head to head over Truck, Truck finished higher than FU at Colorado Cup.

Condors the highest ranked out of the teams outside the top 16 but a head to head loss to Madcow and they have worse results against common opponents with FG.

1. Revolver
2. GOAT
3. Doublewide
4. Machine
5. Johnny Bravo
6. Ironside
7. Sockeye
8. PoNY
9. Chain Lightning
10. Ring of Fire
11. Sub Zero
12. Truck Stop
13. Florida United
14. Furious George
15. Madcow
16. Condors

Pools become:

A: Revolver/PoNY/Truck Stop/Florida United
B: GOAT/Sockeye/Sub Zero/Furious George
C: Doublewide/Ironside/Ring of Fire/Madcow
D: Machine/Johnny Bravo/Chain Lightning/Condors

Not too far off, flipping JB and Machine, and moving FG down to last...

Will be a walk in the park for Revolver, they have an easy pool.
But which one is the "Pool of death": B or C ?
