I'm cleaning out the house and I have a stack of beat up discs. How can I get rid of these in a constructive manner?

Though I doubt it, but does UltiPeace want beatup "lot" discs? I presume no.

I think I might have read about a college player studying abroad somewhere that could use discs, any "useable" condition, and that shipping would be free/cheap. Did I just imagine this?

Lastly, I'm assuming they're a #1 through #7 plastic, so in theory I should be able to recycle them, right? (assuming my municipality's recycling program accepts #1-#7)

If you've read this far. Any suggestions for old (and blown out) cleats? As of now, I'm going to add them to my old running shoes pile that I'm planning on dropping off at the running store to be re-used into swingsets (or something like that). Not sure if this is kosher...

I bet a local high school team would love to take them off your hand.

In CO, these guys were taking older discs for a while:

Your local Nike store will take any ATHLETIC shoe:

-when at practice and some neighborhood folks walk by and watch, toss them one and tell them to start practicing and let them know when the next practice is.

-when at league, toss them to strangers in the park and tell them to keep them.

-when you're at the beach and see some jokers tossing a promo tiny cheap disc, toss it to them and tell them it will work better.

-when you're driving thru the hood and see some neighborhood kids tossing a football or baseball...toss it out your car window to them.

-when you see a group of people with developmental disabilities in the park playing bocci, toss a disc or 4 out the window and tell them "frisbees are more fun!"

-give a handful to your nearest elementary school gym teacher.

-when you're watching your wife's tennis team play, from the grass field next to the courts, and some kids walk by on the park trail with their mom, watching you and your daughter throwing hucks....toss a disc to them and tell them to start practicing and they'll be able to throw real far too!

-etc etc.....
and....when they try to give the discs back after a while....say....no, that's your's to keep, write your name on the bottom so no one tries to steal it....AND....no throwing on the street, only on grass!

these are all ways i've passed discs on to new folks....and more.

This is how I envision Wilmington, but with plastic.

Before donating used discs:

Try to hit them with some light sandpaper to take any
nicks out...a shampoo in the sink never hurt either.

Don't fear the concrete too much...just make your throws and catches.

Everyone should have a street disc anyway....
