As the brackets never got put on the UPA score reporter, who ended up
in the semis, quarters, and finals?

Missing scores but it went as follows:

:Pre-Quarter:
Luther over North Texas
Central Florida over Tennessee
Michigan over North Park
South Florida over Minnesota
Illinois over Florida State
Arkansas over Texas
Georgia Tech over Dartmouth
Wisconsin over Texas A&M

:Quarters:
Luther over Central Florida
Michigan over South Florida
Illinois over Arkansas
Wisconsin over Georgia Tech*

:Semis:
Michigan over Luther
Wisconsin over Illinois*

:Finals:
Wisconsin over Michigan

*someone posted Wisconsin beat Illnois in quarters and GT in semis,
but I wasn't sure because that didn't work in the bracket.

Finals were Wisconsin v. Michigan

Semis were Michigan v. Luther and Wisconsin v. Ga Tech

A partial list of the quarterfinals included, Ga Tech v. Arkansas,
Wisconsin v. Illinois, Luther v. UCF, and I'm not positive but I
believe Michigan played USF in the quarters but don't hold me to that.

Luther must be feeling pretty good about themselves right about now,
that's a good result for a tournament with that many quality teams,
they beat some big boys. Anyone know anything about this team?
PS: where is Luther? Minnesota?

Luther is a smaller school in Northeast Iowa. Their ultimate team has
been around for a while and they have always been a solid team. I was
really surprised when I first saw them seeded as low as they were.
Luther has plenty of talent and including Greg Shirbroun from Sub
Zero.

Also notable: They had 6 games on Saturday...

....including one against a high school team.

Luther wasn't "known," so they were initially seeded something like
50th out of 57 teams in attendance.
Finished tied for 3rd. Broke seed by something like 47 places. Might
just be a record.

And they did it with only 13 guys all weekend.

Heads up Central Region, Lufda looks like the real deal.

For sure man, Luther looks real good. Fantastic athletes, and some
sick hands. Good guys, too. And with regionals in Decora...anything
could happen. I gotta think Iowa's still the mid-season favorite
though...if they can get by grinnell, they just might make it to Nats
=)

Teams who play in the Central have known for several years that Luther
is a team to watch out for at Regionals. Now some people outside the
region seem to have discovered that as well.

The 4th bid from the Central will be an exciting contest this year.

The upshot of the expanded Nationals is the shit-talking will be very
much diluted. I don't know if Luther, Grinnell, and Riverland
Community College have ever been a part of the conversation ... but
welcome. I guess.

Not only was this a good finish for Luther, but they did it without
one of the CN region's best freshman pick ups. Eric Johnson, from
state champion Cathedral High School will make an immediate impact for
the team on his return.

Should be interesting, at least, to see how they fare with a nationals
bid on the line.
