Would you like to travel the country for a week or four this summer in a converted bus, hitting up the best party tournaments around and stopping at cool towns and cities along the way for awesome nighttime games, mini-hat tournaments, fun parties and showing of Ultimate documentaries.
The tour stops so far are
Poultry Days, June 15-16 Versailles, OH
Solstice, June 22-23 Tulsa, OK
Lungbuster, June 29-30 Breckenridge, CO
Potlatch, July 5-7 Redmond, WA

We are currently taking requests for midweek tour stops in the Midwest the week of June 17-21, in OK, KS, and CO the week of June 24-28, and in the Rockies and NW the weeks of July 1-4 and 8-11.
Tickets for each leg of the Tour are available at gaut.usetopscore.com and more details will be posted here soon.
A small number of internships are available, meaning that your ticket and/or food may be covered if you are willing to help set up and break down camp, sell merchandise, or assist in other ways.
Additional tour stops after Potlatch are being considered, so feel free to send an email lobbying for your tourney, or your favorite tournament(s) to be included.

Anybody that does business with Trent should make sure they get payment up front.

Southwestulti,

Consider adding Columbia Missouri to your itinerary. Between poultry days and OK...?

We can put together a quality scrimmage in this town
any time of the year.

Or just stop by the mizzou campus for lunch downtown
and a visit to midwest disc sports collection (state historical society of mo). We'll
display some of our sports oldest existing documents for your busload of disc sport folks.

Sincerely,
Peter Mc

I'm confused now...is it a tour to party and shag or a tour to visit museums ?

Trent Simmons. If you don't know who I am, you haven't been paying attention. Smile

But seriously, if you are reading this and we have never met, come to one of the tournaments on the Tour, introduce yourself and tell me about your vision for the sport. I'm the founder of the Indoor Ultimate Championships, and we will be expanding to open and women's divisions this winter. I'm also a spokesman for the North American Spirit Championship series, so I'd love to tell you more about that project and get your feedback.

In short, I'm a full time Ultimate organizer who is working on a lot of projects, and I love hearing new perspectives and ideas.

p.s. Space Tank, if I owe you money, email me your address and I will send you a check. Thanks

Euh, is there a reason you can't do all three in one stop? I mean, I know I won't be shagging anybody cause my girlfriend won't be on the tour, but I think there is always room for a little culture on the Tour.

Peter, I will certainly consider it. Do you have any lighted fields so we could do a weeknight Hat tournament, say from 6-10. Or a theater where we could do a showing of a Ultimate documentary? It would probably have to be on Wed. 6/19, or Th. 6/20.

Thurs. is league night in Columbia MO.

I'd have to get back to you about lit field possibilities

Do you have a documentary to show or are you looking for video entertainment in general?

To all the female readers: it seems contradictory at first, but the last part of the sentence is the key message "clear to land".

I wear a lot of hats depending on the season, but you can always reach me at southwestultimate at gmail.

Oh and btw, if anybody is running a tournament and want a great rate on insurance, call Event Helpers, they might even give you a discount if you drop my name.

P.S. does the email user function on this forum ever work?
P.S.S. Euh, I don't know who you are, be we have clearly never met if you think I'm going to have to worry about temptation on the tour. Smile Besides, I don't think any ladies other than Michelle even read RSD

How does this work? I'm looking at the list of attendees for Poultry Days, and there is no team captained by Trent Simmons. Are you guys just showing up to hang out and party? Hope that someone will let you pick up with them? What am I buying tickets for?

The TDs for at least the first three tournaments will help find teams for you to pick-up with. So far for Potlatch, you are on your own. What you are really paying for is a fun week long trip in between the tournaments with some great stops along the way. At most of our stops we have places to stay, but if needs be everybody can just sleep on the bus. And you will also have the option to sleep on the bus at the tournament if you don't feel like camping out. The $100 is basically to help out with the gas and maintenance for the bus, and even if the Tour fills up, the $100 a person won't cover all the expenses. But nevertheless, we will probably find the money for a keg or two, (of root beer, of course)
To make up the difference between the actual expenses and ticket sales, I will be working at each tournament, selling espresso and other hot and cold drinks, plus promoting several Ultimate related companies. So if you are willing to help out with any of that, I'm offering partial or full "scholarships". Still working out the itinerary but it will likely look something like this Denver, ??, Poultry Days, Indianapolis, Chicago, St, Louis, Columbia, and then either Kansas City or Fayetteville, AR before we get to Tulsa. After Tulsa, the Tour will probably stop in Colorado Springs, Denver, Ft. Collins, Boulder, and a mountain town before Lungbuster. And if you just want to caravan with the Tour, driving your own car, that's fine too. So what it basically comes down to is if you are up for an adventure, send an email to southwestultimate at gmail and we will make it work.

Slight update to the schedule: The Tour will be leaving Denver now on TH, June 13th. 6 seats are still available. And there are currently 8 seats available for Poultry Days to Solstice, although there is a group from Tulsa thinking about joining, so if you want in on that leg, let me know asap.

Mr. Simmons has left the building...He stopped in for a morning tour of the Midwest Disc Sports Collection (accession 5828) holdings.

He is headed your direction Tulsa folks.

Thanks to the Columbia league players who stuck around for potluck and the game of lighted disc last night.

Big thanks to Trent for including Columbia MO on his itinerary.

Viva la Missouri ultimate...!
