I'm tired of reading about other people's regionals. Here goes:

Central Plains:
Machine
Skeetpocalypse L(louevil, madcow, machine, PF, BAT, madison) W(X-MN,
Gnarwhal)

East Plains:
Madcow
LouEvil W(Skeet)
Joyce
OWNDU
The Hellbenders

Michigan:
BAT
CorkJuice (east)
MagnUM-08

Northwest Plains:
Subzero
Madison
Paul Bunyan’s Revenge- W(Joyce/X-MN(2)/Gnarwhal) L(Madison(3)
X-MN

West Plains:
Prairie Fire
Gnarwhal L(PBR, Skeet, Madison) Bad…

Here is my best guess at the seeds based on just glancing at people’s
results.

1.SubZero (obvious)
2.Machine (obvious)
3. Madison
4. Madcow
5. Prairie Fire
6. BAT
7.LouEvil
8. Skeetpocalypse
9.PBR
10.CorkJuice
11.Joyce
12.Gnarwhal
13.X-MN
14.OWNDU
15.Hellbenders
16. MagnUM-08

Some of the bottom teams didn't have too many results making it
difficult to know where to rank them.
-Madison/Madcow both have good cases for being #3
-Prairie Fire/BAT- have cases for #5
-10-12 seems like it could go any number of ways.

No way I can see BAT being seeded behind Prairie, if anything
tiebreaker has to have some sort of historical perspective since there
was no head to head.

Prairie Fire has no history, this is our first year.

I just looked at the common opponents. Prairie Fire beat LOS at CHC.
BAT lost to LOS at CHC. Prairie Fire played a closer game (12-13)
against Madcow than BAT's losses to them (10-14, 11-15). However, BAT
is historically a Top 3 team in this region and I can see where they'd
have a claim to the higher seed. Just wanted to get some discussion
going.

Also, the "bad..." next to Gnarwhal was to help me remember they lost
by pretty wide margins to those teams. It doesn't mean they are a
"bad" team. They made a great run on Sunday at Sectionals.

The way I see BAT behind Prarie Fire -

Record:
PF: 29-4
BAT: 19-10

Similar Opponent:
versus LOS at Chicago Heavyweights
BAT Lost 13-14
PF Won 9-13

Not the best way to seed but I think it's fair. I didn't see any other
shared opponents. I do see that BAT has a strong strenth of schedule
and losses came from very talented teams (all top 25 RRI teams).

I played at Hucktoberfest this last weekend, with UW Whitewater's
Alum. (AKA: Sub-par's old folks) we took 2nd to Wannoa St. in the
finals. they beat Sub-par 15-12 (in the semi-finals) and then beat us
15-11 in the finals, and I don't see them on the list at all. They
played a great... which sucked for our revenge game to win the mugs.
Just wondering were your getting all your data?

I already hit up boringjob.com, but thanks.

James, I'm not sure what you are talking about as far as all my data.
I pulled the regionals qualifiers off of the sectionals websites if
that is what you are referring to. They could be wrong, but this is
what I saw listed.

that was a college tournament, not club sectionals. You need to place
well at club sectionals to make it to club regionals.

1. SZ (obvious)
2. Machine (obvious)
3. Madison (obvious based on this year/less obvious based on recent
history given last year's Regional finishes where Madcow placed higher
than Madison, and may have beaten them if memory serves)
4. Madcow (obviously above BAT and Prairie Fire based on this year's
results)
5. Prairie Fire (history would favor BAT, every other factor seems to
favor Prairie Fire)
6. BAT (above everybody else)-seriously how old are Big Ass and Ricki
these days? they were old four years ago when I last played in the
series.

7. PBR (new team-couple "bad" losses*, highest RRI and most
competitve games against Madison of 7-9 seeds)
8. LouEvil (beat Skeet)
9. Skeet (lost to LouEvil)
10. CorkJuice
11. Joyce
12. Gnarwahl
13. Magnum
14. X-MN
15. OWNDu
16. Hellbenders

B. Paradise
Paul Bunyan's Revenge
*not trying to diminish General Strike, Ding-Wop, or Haymaker by using
the word "bad" because each of them beat us fairly, just a short
notation to mean that the losses came to teams that based on the
outcome of other games we would not have been predicted to lose.

Gnarwhal = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uG5NhkxQJQc

So therefore Gnarwhal is bad.

Madcow vs. Madison in the discussion in 3 vs 4 seeds

"Seeding" is based on the following from the UPA Website:
>input solicited from all the captains of participating teams; results prior to the Series (e.g. head to head, common >opponents, tournament finish); results of last year's Series; and other applicable information (e.g. team composition, >conditions).

>captains of participating teams
not sure what the other captains on different teams have to say but I
am sure that the madcow captain and madision captain disagree!
Advantage: N.A.

> head to head
did not play each other this year
Advantage: N.A.

> common opponent.
The only common opponent that both teams played where they both did
not either beat or lose to the opponent is SD United. Madcow 1-0 vs.
SD United. Madision 1-1 vs. SD United
Slight Advantage: Madcow +.5

> tournament finish 2208.
CHC. Madison finished 3rd and Madcow finishes 5th. Madcows two
losses in the tournament were to Machine and Subzero, two teams that
Madison also lost too this year.... but based on initial seeding.
Madision only played Machine at CHC...
Slight Advantage: Madison +.5

> results of last year's Series
Madcow beat Machine at Regionals twice last year by 3 each time.
Advantage: Madcow +1

>other applicable information
Advantage: N.A.

Seems to me that Madcow should be the third seed....

Good news is that we don't have to play in Tulsa!!!

No one tell the bookies that we already know the results from 2208

Good news is that Madison and Madcow still have teams 200 years from
now... maybe there will be refs? and regionals will most def be in
Tulsa every year.

i believe that madcow also finished 7th at last year's nationals with
wins over pike, furious, blaze of glory, the tunas, and the yankees.
all by large margins.

Denis,

Wrong and wrong. Careful posting your beliefs. Sub Zero tied for 7th
at Nationals. Madcow did not go to nationals, the Van Buren Boys did.
They placed 16th while Machine placed 12th.

Madison beat SD United twice (13-8 Colorado Finals, 13-11 CHC Pool
Play), lost once (11-13 Colorado Pool Play).
Madcow beat SD United once (15-12 CHC)
Madison beat Prairie Fire (13-10 Colorado Cup)
Madcow beat Prairie Fire (13-12 CHC)
*****
Madison beat Skeet (15-4 in Cooler Finals); Madcow beat Skeet (11-9 at
Motown)
Madison has two decisive wins over Bohdi (11-7, 13-7 at CHC) who was
also a semi's team at CHC took Sub to 11-13.
Madcow beat Madison twice last year at Regionals, I believe this
carries less weight; it should??

So Madison should be the 3 seed; Madcow the 4. It's not obvious
though.

considering their common-opponent results are so similar, i think 07
